Front drive geared electric bicycle motor is an indispensable power source equipment in the manufacturing industry. Why is the front drive geared electric bicycle motor burned out and what is the cause? The reason is that you will find that many kinds of situations in the production process may cause the motor to burn!

To find out why, we can start with the source of the failure.

First, you need to figure out whether the front drive geared electric bicycle motor is burnt out of the bearing or the coil? If the bearing is burned, it means that the mechanical failure and the quality of the motor hardware is not good; If the coil is burned, it means that it is caused by an electrical failure. Generally, it is caused by over-current, sometimes it will cause the coil to be short circuited due to unstable voltage, too high or too low, and burn the motor. To eliminate this possibility, check if the voltage at operation is too different from the rated voltage. If so, it is the fault caused by voltage instability; If not, it is caused by the instability of the current.  

The current of the motor is short circuited, which can be divided into four situations:

1. the equipment is overloaded and operates for a long time. In daily life, the starting current of the front drive geared electric bicycle motor is 3-5 times of the rated current, so it is necessary to avoid the condition that the equipment is loaded or full load when the equipment is started.

2. the working environment of the front drive geared electric bicycle motor is relatively humid.

3. mechanical failure of the pump causes the motor to overload, causing the current to be too large and the coil burned.

4. there is a problem with the heat dissipation of the front drive geared electric bicycle motor.

Two common faults analysis: phase missing and overload

1.Lack of phase

Cause: generally, the contact point of the contactor in the line is not closed due to the lack of phase (one phase is not supplied or the voltage is insufficient), which leads to the disconnection, looseness of the connection point or oxidation of contact position.

Features: one phase or two phases (Level 4) in the winding are all blackened, and the coil is damaged symmetrically and regular.

Therefore, if the front drive geared electric bicycle motor is burned out because of phase shortage, then there will be no winding burned; If the motor is burned out because of excessive load, the three-phase winding will damage the ground insulation.

2.Overload

Cause: it is usually caused by the front drive geared electric bicycle motor running over current for a long time, overheating operation, frequent start-up or braking, and wiring error.

Features: the winding is all blackened, the end tie changes color and becomes brittle or even broken.

Therefore, the front drive geared electric bicycle motor failure can be divided into two categories: mechanical failure and electrical failure. If the front drive geared electric bicycle motor is burned out, if it is only a mechanical failure, the supplier of the motor shall be directly replaced. If it is an electrical failure, the best way is to install a motor protector in advance to prevent protection and avoid the next occurrence.
